Mission Statement for “Bethany Methodist Women"

The “Bethany Methodist Women” organization exist to be Love in Action by:

-      Providing outreach in the name of Jesus to our neighbors, near & far

-      Educating ourselves in ways to share our faith

-      Building a friendship bond among our women as we serve together

All ladies who attend our church are considered to be a part of "Bethany Women."   We meet the second Wednesday of each month (September through June) at 10:00 am in Tyler Fellowship Hall.  The business meeting consists of making plans for our various service projects and for meeting needs within the church.  The business meeting is followed by either a guest speaker, who presents information on the needs and services of one of the many worthy organizations that we support, or by work on a service project.

Some of the organizations supported by our women are: Hilton Plaza Home for Adults, Kraft Elementary, "Trouble Dogs" given by first responders to children in crisis, missionaries with Every Nation, Hospice, Mercy Chefs, and Nights Welcome Homeless Shelter.

Under the umbrella of Bethany Women are two groups that use their skills to support these ministries:

Happy Hands Crafters meet the first and third Wednesday mornings each month to create beautiful crafts, which they sell each December at our Cookies & Crafts event, the first Saturday in December.   An additional summer crafter event is being planned for June 28, 2025.  All proceeds are given to those in need.

Sewing, Love in Action meets the second and fourth Tuesday mornings each month, making pillows, aprons, bibs, and other items needed by hospice patients, cancer patients, and others.
