Rev. Mary Sullivan-Trent, Pastor
Rev. Mary Sullivan-Trent, originally from Shenandoah, Virginia, grew up, went to school, and met her husband, Justin Trent, in her hometown. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Regent University in 2013, followed by a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2016.
Her husband, Justin Trent, graduated from Virginia Tech and is a structural engineer and business leader at Lynch Mykins, where he has worked for 17 years. Mary and Justin have six daughters: twins Micayla and Megan (19), who are both active-duty Marines; Isabelle (15); Emma (12); Gabrielle (10); and Aislin (8).
Apart from family life, Pastor Mary enjoys reading, naps, cooking, all kinds of music, and spending time in the Blue Ridge Mountains. For the past two years, she has managed a Starbucks store, finding joy in leading others and sharing her faith over coffee. She is enthusiastic about returning to ministry, appreciating the prospect of no longer having to wake up at 2 am for work.
Mary's ministry passions include preaching, storytelling, connecting with the unchurched, helping believers to share their faith with others, and creating engaging and meaningful worship experiences for all generations.
Mary, Justin, and their daughters are very excited to be a part of the family of Bethany.
Ashleigh Moore-Orlowski, Administrative Asssistant
Ashleigh serves as the Administrative Assistant and enjoys helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. She loves coffee, tacos, and home baking, and values spending time with her family and dog. Ashleigh is a creative person at heart and is grateful to support the church community in her role.
